What I have learned about Human Rights?

Having class for a semester in CEA, more precisely in Human Rights class was a good and interesting experience. I chose this class because I am really interested in the world, the interaction and the human in general. According to me, it is essential to be aware of this subject, it concerns all human being.

This class gives me more awareness and conscience on the current issues in our world regarding the human rights field. It also opens my mind on people, on the other countries and lays the emphasis on the diversity of our world and how it is hard to promote and monitor the respect of human rights today which related with the universality of human rights.

I learned a lot in this class that is the reason why I can say that my Human rights knowledge is less superficial and more critical. Today I am not scared to discuss freely on the subject.

I realize how complex is the human right field and how his definition can be hard to define.

The functioning of the United Nations is now clearer, because the organization is much elaborated. I learned a lot on NGOs, the different types, their role and how they try to follow their values and their human rights goal on their own compared with IGOs for example.

I really enjoyed the visit in UNESCO for example. Even if I live in Paris, I do miss a lot of things. That is why this class also opens my eyes on the fact that Paris is a capital of Human rights. There are so many things to discover, so I will pay more attention to what surrounded me and I will go further in my curiosity.
