By being in the following course I was able to gain a more realistic view of what Human Rights is and what it stands for across the world. Being an American it is easier to turn your cheek to other countries human rights issues, but it is a basic right that should be addressed. In terms of the rights of women the fight still continues in many countries where they are not granted certain rights.
Also, human rights deals with many organizations that are geared toward helping individuals who are not fairly represented such as Amnesty International. Other organizations that help benefit child hunger and poverty across the globe such as ACF.
"All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood." -Declaration of Human Rights
