Yemen Update 3

In mid April fighting broke out in Yemen between government officials and General Ahmar's rival antigovernment military. Two people were killed in the fighting. There have been a number of antigovernment protests and battles. The president's son and nephew began lead their troupes to an attack at a checkpoint of General Ahmar's troups. One soldier died and six were wounded from the antigovernment side. On the government side at least one person was killed. Attacks like these have also been very common in the last couple of months since January when the mass demonstrations against President Saleh started.
