Obama Speech May 19th 2011

On Mai 19th 2011, President Obama made an address regarding a new policy towards the Arab world, which is in fact the outcome of the Cairo Address on June 5th 2009 for the Muslim world.

Our world is full of utopias. Every country is a role-play where everyone has his specific role. Wars and revolts are the counterweight of this utopia.

Obama’s address based on a new change of approach towards the Middle East, placing his administration on the side of the protesters for democracy. He talked about a vast economic plan to support for the Arad countries which are in favor of democratic advance and also countries which have the will to promote new standards for a new governance and freedom of speech.

The announcement of a Eastern ‘Marshall Plan” aimed at erasing contradictions and launching a new process, economic activity and the political field which make the democratic transition easier. So the American President promised a new aid program for “democratic countries from the Arab spring” which began with Tunisia and Egypt. This program will help these countries to get back what former leader took. Obama will also propose to his G8 partners to reduce the Egyptian debt by 1 billion dollars and to set a program in order to promote private investment in the country.

According to Barack Obama, the Arab revolutions coincide with the American ideals but democracy is the people’s matter themselves.
